Design and Engineering of the Vanasadam 110/10 kV Substation
Client: AS Tallinna Sadam (Port of Tallinn)
Location: Within the Tallinn Port area, in close proximity to the Cruise Terminal

AllSpark prepared the preliminary design for the primary section of the new Vanasadam (Old Port) 110/10 kV substation, owned by the Port of Tallinn. This substation is intended to ensure the reliability of power supply for new developments and potential major clients within the port territory.
As part of this project, we carried out the following work:
-
Technical calculations to determine suitable substation equipment procurement.
-
Selection and layout planning of 110 kV and 10 kV primary equipment, including power transformers, within the building.
-
Building Information Modeling (BIM) of the main substation equipment and cable routes.
The resulting technical solution serves as the basis for the detailed design and construction of the substation.
This project was part of the process that led to the issuance of Estonia's first BIM-based building permit.
